GENERAL: tftp://255.255.255.255/xxxxx.cfg (Timed Out)

If you performed an IOS upgrade or a write erase recently the changes are pretty good that when it comes back online you'll get this totally irritating error message.

%Error opening tftp://255.255.255.255/network-confg (Timed out)
%Error opening tftp://255.255.255.255/cisconet.cfg (Timed out)
%Error opening tftp://255.255.255.255/atp-office-vg0-confg (Timed out)
%Error opening tftp://255.255.255.255/atp-offi.cfg (Timed out)

Luckily the fix is quite simple. If you take a look at your running config you'll notice a service command...

ROUTER0# show running-config
 ---cut---
version 12.4
service config
service timestamps debug datetime msec
---cut---

Go into config mode and issue the 'no service config' command

ATP-OFFICE-VG0(config)#no service config
ATP-OFFICE-VG0(config)#^Z
ATP-OFFICE-VG0#copy running-config startup-config

Next time you reboot that irritating issue will be GONE!
